Crystal Cruises Supports Family Travel With Their Addition of Connecting Staterooms

Given the ever growing trend of multi-generational travel on Crystal Cruises lately and the surge of family groups, the luxury line is taking big steps to nurture this burgeoning market. On June 4, 2013, in advance of the hot summer season, Crystal will debut nine brand new adjoining staterooms on the Crystal Symphony. These are ideal for use as family suites. Several of the new connecting rooms offer sofas to accommodate a third person and to accommodate parents with more than two children. Crystal Cruises is refitting 18 deluxe outside and verandah staterooms to enable connections, when and if needed. Guests will have a choice of non-verandah and verandah accommodations in several categories, in addition to two existing Penthouse Suite/Penthouse and Verandah combinations. In 2013, Crystal saw 20% more family groups traveling together than in 2011. Underscoring the ever increasing trend, as of March, the cruise line has more family groups booked to date for 2013 than were booked for the entire year of 2012. Discerning families appreciate Crystal's very unique combination of superb quality, extraordinary service, diversified choices and the sheer spaciousness of the ships. In the luxury cruise market, there is not another line that caters to multi-generational families like Crystal does. Adding value to their sailings is a successful Crystal Family Memories program that offers free shore excursion credits, free berths and other amenities for family groups. Crystal Cruises' luxury ships feature a purpose-built video game room and playroom for junior cruisers, although it is primarily holiday and summer cruises that generate the most amount of junior cruisers. On cruises with more than 10 children, Junior Activities Directors supervise an array of crafts, games and behind-the-scenes learning programs for the junior cruisers. Teens will also enjoy how to learn to make sushi from Nobu-trained chefs. Connecting rooms are not limited to just families with children. They can also be requested by adults traveling together who prefer their own rooms. All-inclusive fares for Crystal Symphony's 2013 voyages start from only $1,630 per person if booked by June 28, 2013. Crystal has a passion for taking care of guests in an inviting environment of quality. This is what has earned them more World's Best awards than any other cruise line, hotel or resort in history.
