Exciting News at Quantas Airlines

Quantas began their journey well over a decade ago with a simple yet effective cornerstone sponsorship of what at the time was a fledgling initiative called Clean up Australia Day. They have come a long way since then. Today, environmental sustainability is a guiding principle for their business. Their aim is world class environmental performance as they are implementing processes and policies that will help protect the environment for present and future generations. Quantas has built a reputation for excellence in safety, operational reliability, engineering and maintenance and customer service. Quantas currently employs over 33,000 people with 93% based in Australia. As of July 1, 2013, all First Class and Business Class passengers traveling from LAX will enjoy a complimentary limousine ride to the airport and to the hotel upon arrival. Some restrictions apply and can be booked on Quantas online. Another new service they are offering is the 1st Home Team. A service at LAX, they provide assistance for guests at the curb, through check in, security and take them straight to the lounge. The new redesigned 1st Class lounge at LAX offers a full service restaurant and spa treatments. Guests can dine at their leisure while waiting for their flight departures. If they have extra time, they can relax and enjoy a signature spa service. Quantas does not charge for entrance to the 1st Class lounge. The Business Class lounge has also been renovated and includes showers and a full service restaurant. As in the 1st Class Lounge, there is no charge, just present your boarding pass for entrance. Quantas wants to encourage passengers to get up and walk around since it is such a long flight. They are now offering a help-yourself bar area stocked with bottled water, soft drinks, fruit, cheese selection and an array of other snacks. First-Class service is offered on the A380 airbus. This service class includes 14 suites, folding tables so guests can dine together, a la carte menus and an 8-course tasting menu. A new duvet sleep service is now being offered in business class. Similar to their bedding down service in first class, cabin crew will offer a turndown service with a mattress cover, duvet and wellness tea, to promote more sleep. New Kate Spade amenity kits are also offered in business class on both the A380 and 747. Business Class passengers traveling from LAX to Australia can now pre-order their dinner selection online, 72-24 hours to departure. Quantas provides a wider range of dinner selections online as compared to their onboard menu choices. Additionally via the website, if a passenger wishes to skip the dinner service, they can specify it and the crew will know to provide the Duvet Sleep Service immediately after takeoff. The Business Class cabins on the 747s have been redone and offer the same sleep service as that on the A380. There is also a lounge exclusively for Business Class guests allowing them a bit more space and an alternate choice for enjoying their meals and snacks. If you have never experienced Quantas before, now is the time. Let them take you in comfort and style to the beautiful land of Australia.
