Four Seasons Hualalai, Hawaii

Our Managing Partner, Susan Reder, recently had the opportunity to visit the Four Seasons Hualalai, Hawaii. This was not her first time there and it won't be the last. She feels it is one of the best hotels in the world and she has stayed at many wonderful hotels and resorts over the years. As for the service, they just can't do enough for you. If you need anything, all you need to do is ask. Most of the time, the staff can anticipate your needs even before you have a chance to notice yourself. It is not overdone or fake, the staff is very genuine. Susan and her husband especially enjoyed relaxing at the adult pool. This pool overlooks the ocean and has a swim up bar. This is definitely the place to get spoiled, as they attend to your every need. Pool butlers come to clean your sunglasses, bring you a newspaper, refill your water cups or simply just to check on you. One of their favorite outings was whale watching. The season lasts a few months and is actually worth booking your trip during this time so you can experience it. This year was a particularly active year for the whales and guests got a wonderful show. The season runs from December through February. The restaurants at the resort are fabulous. There are three specialty restaurants and two ocean side lounges. Each menu is creative with choices reflecting the changing of the seasons and the bounty of Hawaii's farms and coasts. Enjoy a tempting variety throughout the week, from Tuscan cucina rustica and beachfront barbecues to Asian Pacific cuisine and Polynesian pupus. At the spa, enjoy relaxing by a quiet stream in the open air Waiea or Water of Life garden. Or savor the lap pool, saunas, whirlpools, steam rooms and cold plunges, all set amidst lush greenery. Your choice of body treatments and massages may be enjoyed outdoors in their exotic new hales, secluded for privacy. Extend your spa experience with a visit to the Hualalai Sports Club, which offers a resistance and strength studio featuring the latest workout equipment. The rooms all include a coffee maker with wonderful Kona coffee beans that you grind yourself. Susan stayed in a beautiful 1 bedroom suite which was spacious and decorated in a traditional Hawaiian theme with a modern and contemporary feel. The suite also had a large terrace, a perfect place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Journese, Curators of Fine Travel, is proud to have this resort in their lineup of luxurious 5-star properties. We all agree that this is the perfect romantic get-a-way and a great place for a wedding, honeymoon or vow renewal. Pack your bags and get ready to be spoiled in Hawaii. This is a trip you won't soon forget.
