Travel to Africa

We send a lot of clients to Africa and have used many, many tour companies to help with the itineraries.  When our Experts were asked what tour company they prefer using, they all responded with “African Travel”.  Their reasons behind this answer vary.  Their reservations agents have been to Africa many times before and are extremely knowledgeable about the country.  Their guides are beyond knowledgeable about the area and are college educated.  In Africa, being a guide with African Travel is a very prestigious job.  They arrange everything from start to finish, including inter-Africa air.  Their impressive list of resorts includes some of the most amazing properties and tented camps.  The list goes on and on.

One of our Experts, Judy Jacobson, recently had the fabulous opportunity to travel to Africa with African Travel.  She had the most amazing time and feels her life was forever changed.

After landing In Johannesburg, her group toured the beautiful city for a full day.  After that, African Travel arranged for a company called Inter-Africa Travel to help with some parts of the itinerary.  They offer VIP airport arrival/departure and a concierge service that gets you through the front of the line and through security.  This saves a lot of time for travelers.

Botswana was Judy’s favorite place.  Here they stayed at a place called Kingspool Camp, a very high- end, all-inclusive property that included outside showers, no locks on the doors and gourmet meals.  In the middle of nowhere, you are being treated like kings and queens!  Here they went on day and evening game drives.  Each day was spectacular and afforded another adventure.  During their game drives, they saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra, leopard, and hippo.  At the end of the day they would have a Sundowner, which is essentially a party set up in the middle of the bush.  African Travel employees set up wine, appetizers and a comfortable sitting situation.  The wines they serve, all South African, were fabulous.  Judy looked forward to this every day as it gave everyone a chance to re-group after a long day of sightseeing.

The trip was really about game drives, about seeing the animals there in their natural environment.  You wake up in the morning and go on a game drive.  You follow that up with a little lunch, some more gaming, perhaps a high-tea and then it’s out for another game drive.  They offer day drives, night drives, air gaming and water gaming.

Judy could not say enough positive things about African Travel.  If you have dietary restrictions, they make sure you are accommodated.  She could not understand how they managed to do this since some of the locations are so remote, but they always did.

Everything you ask for, you get.  African Travel employees are there to serve the travelers and not just give them an amazing safari experience, but to give them a life changing experience.  The hotels and tented camps are as luxurious as the nicest hotels in the world.

When Judy was asked, what the highlight of the trip was, she replied “Definitely the balloon flight over the Serengeti” Enough said… that sounds pretty amazing.
