British Airways Introduces the A380 Airbus to its Fleet

As of October 15, 2013, British Airways will start flying their brand new Airbus A380 aircraft from Los Angeles to London Heathrow. Tickets are already on sale and are filling up rapidly. Los Angeles will be the inaugural destination for the first A380 to be operated by a UK airline. The double-decker superjumbo is due to be delivered to British Airways in July and will start flying in October, 2013. In celebration, they are offering extraordinary round-trip fares. World Traveller economy, World Traveller Plus premium economy and Club World business class are all available at greatly reduced rates. The valid travel dates for these fares is October 15, 2013 - December 13, 2013 and January 7, 2014 - March 17, 2014. The second A380 route scheduled will be from London to Hong Kong and these flights are also available to book now for travel from November 15, 2013. The A380 will be the largest aircraft in the British Airways fleet, accommodating 469 customers across four cabins. The First cabin will be located at the front of the main deck and offer 14 seats. Club World (business class) will offer 44 seats on the main deck, or 53 seats on the upper deck. These upper deck seats will feature a new 2 - 3 - 2 configuration across the cabin. The 55 World Traveler Plus (premier economy) seats will be located on the upper deck while World Traveller (economy) customers can choose seats on both the main and upper deck. Both cabins will feather the airline's current design. The aircraft's innovative design makes it much quieter during take-off and landing and more fuel efficient than its predecessors. British Airways has ordered 12 for delivery by 2016 as part of a global investment including new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges and new technology to make life more comfortable in the air and on the ground. With all this comfort, there is no time like the present to book your trip to London.
