COMO Goes South Beach

South Beach is about to get a bit more swank with the December 15th opening of COMO Hotels and Resorts' newest hotel. You will know COMO from Parrot Cay on Turks & Caicos and from its outposts in exotic and remote locations like Bhutan and Bali. For that reason alone, you can expect Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach to be sublime and subtle; in fact, management describes its vibe as "anti-South Beach". Solidifying the sense of elegance will be a COMO Shambhala wellness area and a high sense of design and service. The hotel located on Collins Avenue, will have direct access to the beautiful South Beach. Its 63 rooms and 11 suites are currently being carved from an original 1930s building in the art deco district. Javier Beneyto, a seasoned COMO general manager will be overseeing the opening and will develop the overall Metropolitan concept. Since Mr. Beneyto has got fabulous experience in the cuisine area, he will oversee Food & Beverage as well. In traditional COMO style, guests can expect the amazing cuisine COMO is so well known for added with a local South Beach twist.
