The beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on the Island of Maui

Our co-owner, Susan Reder just returned from a week long stay at The Ritz -Carlton, Kapalua on the beautiful island of Maui. As far as she is concerned, Kapalua is the most beautiful part of the island and the Ritz-Carlton fits right in. As she works closely with Journese, Curators of Fine Travel, she turned to them for help in putting her trip together. Journese, as always, is flawless in their vacation planning services. When you visit the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, you are escaping to an island paradise steeped in rich cultural and traditional Hawaiian customs. From the moment you arrive, you are enveloped in captivating surroundings, featuring lush flora and greeted with a warm Aloha reception with a Kukui Nut Lei. Their private beach is a short walk from the resort and is absolutely spectacular. The beach butlers are there to help set you up with a chaise and anything you need to make your time at the beach perfect. There is even a grill located there so you can get your lunch, snacks and cold drinks to enjoy on the beach. Depending on the tide, the beach may or may not be swimmable. The lifeguard will let you know if it is safe to swim in when you are there. The resort is located on 54 acres of beachfront property and is very expansive. They do have complimentary transportation around the property if you do not want to walk. The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is nestled within the pristine 22,000 acre Kapalua Resort, giving guests exclusive access to amenities and activities hosted within the hotel and within the legendary resort. These include one of Hawaii's largest nature preserves with two marine sanctuaries, two championship golf courses, exciting outdoor adventures and activities including two miles of ziplines, miles of hiking trails and the Kapalua Tennis Garden. You will also find a variety of shopping and dining options featuring local cuisine and locally made goods including Pineapple Grill, Merriman's Restaurant, and The Plantation House. Susan's favorite time and time again is Merriman's, where they celebrated their wedding anniversary. Their 1 bedroom suite was stunning as was the ocean view outside their room. They enjoyed coffee and breakfast each day on their terrace with the beautiful Pacific Ocean in the background. The rooms are spacious as are the marble bathrooms. The hotel consists of 463 guest rooms, suites and Club Level accommodations featuring dark floors, marble bathrooms, and vibrant island-inspired decor and designs. Ritz-Carlton resorts are known for the famous Ambassadors of the Environment program, where kids and adults alike can learn and experience about the marine life around them.
